Payne Electric Company, Inc. is a full-service commercial and industrial electrical contractor with comprehensive capabilities for electrical system design, installation, maintenance and repair. Founded in 1980 by Barry L. Payne, we serve clients throughout the Indianapolis, IN region with medium voltage distribution, emergency power generation, electrical controls and electrical safety. Our experienced electricians also provide alternative energy and communication systems solutions for all types of commercial and industrial projects.

Our Team
Donald L. Payne
President
Donald has been with Payne Electric Co. since 1982. He is a graduate of IBEW Apprenticeship Program and is a member of IBEW 481, and studied at IUPUI in electrical engineering. He has previously held positions at Payne Electric Co., Inc. as a truck driver, electrician and service truck driver for over 14 years. He started estimating and project managing in 1996 to May of 2016 when he became President due to the passing of the founder, Barry L. Payne.
Duane Krebs
Estimator/Project Manager
Duane has been with Payne Electric Co., Inc. since 1995. He is a graduate of the IBEW Apprenticeship School and is a member of the IBEW 481. He has previously held positions in Payne Electric as an electrician and ran a service truck. He has also been a foreman and estimator in his time at Payne Electric.
